The type of client affects rates. Smaller private companies and non-profits don't pay the same rates as larger, more established companies with brand names or household names.

Whether a production is intended for the public or for internal use also affects rates. Public facing productions cost more.

Productions destined for organic use on a client's website and social media channels costs less than those produced as advertisements, whether on social/digital media or for broadcast.

The length of time you intend on using the production has a significant impact on rate.

NOTE: Productions often get re-recorded after 2 years, so buying "perpetuity" doesn't always make sense. That said, it may make sense if there are a lot of cutdowns.

The territories you advertise/promote in also impact rates.

Each additional production (shorter version/cut down) you make from Lili's original voice recording is charged as an extra individual spot (you are licensing her voice).

Cutdowns may be included in the rate when you purchase a larger media buy. One cutdown is sometimes included in 2 year buys. (More details on the rate calculator page.)

The number of scripts/spots to record will also affect the rate. Shorter versions of scripts, and alternate versions are considered additional scripts. (Alt lines for testing purposes in the production process do not constitute new scripts). Typically one script equates to one session, but there are exceptions.

The level of language in the script will affect the session rate. More technical scripts require much more preparation than straightforward scripts.

Production elements and inspiration materials (music, rough cuts, storyboard, Lili's VO demos) can help get a clearer idea of your needs. This can help get a better rate.

Rates, especially as it concerns ads, aren't always set in stone. There is flexibility for smaller businesses, non profits, niche industries, and niche productions. That said, the basic session fees are pretty static (even though they may get waived on larger media buys).

As far as minimum fees, Lili's very lowest rate is $850 USD for a script of 150 words.

Given the demand on her voice, she cannot record for less than those rates. For repeat customers, productions with a very limited reach, and non-profits, this minimum fee may cover "internal" or "external" use of various durations. Lili tries to accomodate productions with a limited reach as best she can.

If you would like to share your budget, and make a proposition, you will have the opportunity to do so below. Do keep in mind her minimum fees. As much as she would love to help everyone who reaches out, her health comes first.

NOTE: Sessions fees may be waived when you buy perpetuity usage for paid ads (though perpetuity in this case may not always available).

The session fee is also waived when you pay for a scratch track (Lili does not usually record unpaid scratch tracks).

Bilingual productions with both English and French scripts must each have their own session.

A session can sometimes include up to 2 scripts of 150 words, or multiple short ads. Scripts with narrations over 150 words require their own unique sessions.

NOTE: You may use the scratch track in your final production, provided you pay corresponding usage. If you record a scratch track, and still need to record a session, the final recording session fee will be waived.

Note: Usage fees can be flexible if, especially if you are deploying a large campaign with multiple scripts/ads/cutdowns. Feel free to share your budget and what you hope to do. We will consider reasonable usage fees.

You may find Lili's rates to be higher than most talent you'll find online. Her client roster is full, she is highly specialized, and works primarily in the commercial sector. Her rates reflect this.
